Dr. Julie A. Tippens an assistant professor specializing in forced migration and refugees. She has spent 17 years working with refugees and asylum seekers in the U.S., Southeast Asia, and East Africa. Her continued work in Nebraska, Kenya, and Tanzania centers on how refugees overcome adversity in order to enhance resilience and wellbeing in order to inform culturally-tailored, strengths-based programming and policies.
